choice at the Malaysia International Exclusive Property Investment Show currently
held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Admission to the exhibition, which ends tomorrow, is free.
On display by 50 developers are 160 projects involving properties worth an estimated
RM1.2
billion. Six banks are also on hand to offer a choice of home loan packages.
According to organiser Exhibition Guide (M) Sdn Bhd (EGMSB) project director S.Y.
Moey, all the residential units are priced from RM500,000 and located in KL, and
today's event is the first of six planned nationwide for the year.
Meanwhile, if you are unsure about whether to buy or invest in a landed or stratified
property, you may want to attend the seminar on strata title organised by the National
House Buyers Association (HBA) at 3pm today and tomorrow. It may help you decide
which would suit you better.
The speakers are two lawyers from HBA and the fee is RM80 per person per session.
To add value, EGMSB has also lined up a series of free seminars on topics such as
application and procedures relating to the Malaysia My Second Home programme, the
truth about mortgage reduction, wealth creation through landbanking, buying property
from developers − including guidelines for first time buyers − and how to use insurance
to cover housing loans.
Among the other highlights are visitors have an opportunity to win a trip to London
and Dubai for two and housebuyers stand a chance to win RM20,000 worth of home appliances.
Visitors can also bring their children along as over RM1,000 cash prizes are up
for grabs at the Children's Colouring Contest.
Since its inception in 1997, EGMSB has organised more than 200 events and remains
the only private organisation in the country to have hosted 30 editions of property
showcases in which some 600 developers participated.
It is also the organiser of the Super Home Ideas 2009 that is running simultane-ously
with the property show.
The home living and lifestyle exhibition, from 11am to 9pm, features innovative
homeware and furnishing and its highlights include the Organic Living Pavilion,
Kids World Pavilion and Home E-Consumer Pavilion.
Visitors can get free interior decor advice, check out the Super Home Reno Gallery
and Antique Gallery, as
well as attend cooking demonstrations and talks on home
property crime prevention and healthy living.
