International consulting and publishing firm Institutional Real Estate Inc (IREI)
heralded the new year with the Jan 1 launch of its monthly The Institutional Real
Estate Letter-Asia Pacific.
IREI, which focuses on serving the institutional marketplace, said the publication
aims to be the "preeminent information source for Asian institutional real estate
investors".
Similar to its publications in the United States and Europe, the Asian edition targets
pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, publicly
listed and nonlisted companies as well as investment managers.
IREI managing director Alex Eidlin said its content includes features, news, performance
data and trend analysis.
"Domestic Asian investors and institutional real estate investors worldwide recognise
the economic growth potential and the multitude of related investment opportunities
inherent in the region's evolution," said Eidlin, who is also associate publisher
of the new venture.
"Through our publications, research and consulting services, we target to provide
investors with decision-making tools as well as information and analysis on issues,
ideas, people and events driving the Asian commercial property market."
IREI president and chief executive officer Geoffrey Dohrmann added that although
the publication will share some attributes of the US and European editions, it is
tailored to meet the needs of Asian investors.
"The editorial content will be shaped each year by an advisory board comprising
representatives from Asia's largest and most active property investors," he said.
The Asian edition has received substantial sponsorship support from industry leaders
such as CB Richard Ellis Investors LLC, Doran Capital Partners Ltd, ING Real Estate
Management, Morgan Stanley, Pramerica Real Estate Investors and Tishman Speyer,
he said.
Founded in 1987, IREI produces industry special reports, directories and other publications
such as the Institutional Real Estate Newsline, European Real Estate Quarterly,
Global Quarterly, High Return Quarterly, Institutional Real Estate Deal Makers and
the IREI Weekly.
It is also involved in organising annual industry conferences, summits and workshops.
